Ledger.com/start – Quick Start Guide
Ledger.com/start is the official page to set up your Ledger hardware wallet. It provides verified steps to safely initialize your device and protect your cryptocurrency by keeping private keys offline.
Make sure the Ledger box is sealed and unopened. Genuine Ledger devices never come with a preloaded recovery phrase.
Use the supplied USB cable to connect your Ledger device to a computer or mobile device. Open a browser and visit Ledger.com/start.
Download and install the official Ledger Live application. This app allows you to manage crypto assets, install blockchain apps, and monitor balances safely.
You can create a new wallet or restore an existing one using a recovery phrase. If creating a new wallet, the device will generate a 24-word recovery phrase.
Write down the 24-word recovery phrase on paper and store it in a safe offline location. Never store it digitally or share it with anyone.
Choose a PIN code on the Ledger device to prevent unauthorized access. Keep the PIN confidential.
After setup, you can send, receive, and store cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other supported assets. Ledger hardware wallets give full ownership and strong security for your digital assets.
